Bio
Patrick Hoger – Chief Information Security Officer
As Chief Information Security Officer for the Province of Manitoba, Patrick sets the direction for corporate security standards for information technology security. Manitoba’s Information Protection Centre is considered to be a model for information protection for public sector organizations in Canada. Patrick is the former Chairman of the National Public Sector CIO Subcommittee for Information Protection.
Patrick has over twenty five years of experience in the IT technology field, the last seventeen with the Government of Manitoba, and has been instrumental in the transformation of the province’s technology infrastructure. Once fragmented and departmentally based, the technology infrastructure is now an integrated, corporate infrastructure.
