Partner in Deloitte’s Financial Advisory practice, leading the forensic services practice in Ottawa. He has over 22 years’ experience practicing exclusively in forensic and investigative accounting, litigation consulting, corporate investigations and economic-loss calculations. Timm conducts diverse investigations on behalf of public and private corporations, their boards of directors, government departments and agencies, and enforcement agencies for allegations of fraud, accounting irregularities and other unlawful conduct in both North America and internationally. He brings considerable analysis and quantification of economic damages experience, with a focus on intellectual property disputes. In 2000, he was in the inaugural group of professionals to obtain the CA•IFA designation, recognized by the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants as a specialist in investigative and forensic accounting. Timm is a qualified expert witness in the Federal Court of Canada, the Ontario Court of Justice (General and Superior), the New Brunswick Superior Court of Queen’s Bench, and the Québec Superior Court.

Jean-François Legault is a Senior Manager with Deloitte & Touche’s Forensic & Dispute Services practice in Montreal where he specializes in computer forensic investigations and the prevention and detection of computer based fraud.

He is a member of the Adjunct Faculty of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners where he gives seminars and conferences on topics relating to computer crime and fraud. He is also a frequent guest speaker at fraud and information security conferences where he leads seminars on cyber fraud prevention and detection as well as digital investigations.

Jean-Francois graduated from HEC Montreal with a Bachelor of Business Administration and went on to obtain a Master of Science in Management degree, specializing in Management Information Systems. He currently holds the CISSP, GCIH, GCFA, CISA, CISM, ITIL designations.
